Just saw this column in the NY Times from Marco Rubio, Republican senator from Florida. I was reading this thinking, is this guy reading Strong Towns? Here's an early quote:
Over the past several decades, our nation’s political and economic leaders, Democratic and Republican, made choices about how to structure our society — choosing to prize economic efficiency over resiliency, financial gains over Main Street investment, individual enrichment over the common good.
As someone who formerly identified with the R side of the political spectrum (but haven't for more than a decade), this is the first time I've seen anyone in that space speaking along these lines. Are there others?
