Are there any good articles about how job creation helps offset crime?

I was looking for articles like this last week to help address issues with crime in my own neighborhood. I found the following Strong Towns articles: 

I know all of these don't discuss job creation explicitly, but the idea of making small bets to boost the quality of life in neighborhoods while reducing crime was really inspiring.

The guest, author Zach Norris, discusses how investing in high-crime neighborhoods, which could include job creation program, is a great approach to reduce crime and boost the overall morale of the neighborhood.
